Glandulosi. Předložená práce výrazně rozšiřuje a zpřesňuje poznatky o geografickém rozšíření sexuálního rozmnožování a apomixe u této skupiny, jež byly dosud pro další analýzy nedostačující. Facultative apomixis is the phenomenon when both sexual and apomictic reproduction modes occur in a single taxon. In some taxa, distribution of these reproduction modes differs geographically. This fact was observed quite recently in the tetraploid complex of Rubus ser. Glandulosi. The submitted thesis considerably extended and clarified knowledge about geographical distribution of sexual and apomictic reproduction in this group, which was yet insufficient for further analyses. Reproduction mode was determined by FCSS (flow cytometry seed screen) and it was found that borderline between areas of sexuals and apomicts is located in the Czech Republic and southern Poland and it has more or less southwest-northeast direction. Sexuals were observed in south-eastern and apomicts in north-western part of the area. Data were used for ecological niche modelling with the aim to find out whether occurrence of sexuals and apomicts is determined by differences in their ecological requirements or other factors, such as their historical migration. Model for sexuals corresponded well with their actual occurrence (except for some areas), model for apomicts did not correspond with reality. Models for last glacial maximum differed from each other and were negatively affected by lack of data from southern Europe. It is not clear from which areas these brambles spread during the Holocene. Tests of niche similarity and identity of sexuals and apomicts revealed high niche overlap which cannot explain geographical parthenogenesis. One possible hypothesis which will be the object of further study includes migration of sexuals during the Holocene, subsequent origin of apomicts on the edge of sexuals' range and formation of a borderline between areas of these reproductive groups by competition.
