Bakalářská práce se zabývá stereotypy o Britech představovanými ve filmech. V práci jsou uvedeny čtyři filmy, ve kterých jsou tyto stereotypy popisovány a následně jsou filmy zhodnoceny z hlediska vnímání Britů diváky. Práce také obsahuje srovnání nalezených stereotypů a vyvozuje, jaké stereotypy se ve filmech vyskytovaly nejčastěji. Dále posuzuje, zda tyto filmy mohou mít vliv na formování stereotypů o Britech a sloužit jako zdroj získání poznatků o Britské kultuře.The bachelor thesis focuses on British stereotypes presented in films. In the thesis there are given four films in which these stereotypes are described, and the films are then evaluated with respect to the perception of the British by the viewers. It also includes a comparison of the discovered stereotypes and identifies which stereotypes were most common in the films. Next, it decides whether the films can have an impact on the formation of stereotypes about the British and serve as the source of gaining knowledge about British culture.
