Cílem této diplomové práce je analýza vybraných překladových otázek v polské a české verzi amerického seriálu Perníkový táta, konkrétněji jeho čtvrté sezóny, která se skládá ze 13 epizod. Práce řeší otázky možné nepřeložitelnosti nebo obtížnosti překladu. Má to ukázat, s jakými překážkami se musejí překladatelé vyrovnávat. Byl to také pokus odpovědět na otázku, zda existuje recept na dokonalý překlad. V první teoretické části práce je představena teorie a techniky audiovizuálního překladu a také metody práce s nimi. Cílem druhé, praktické části práce bylo poukázat na praktické uplatnění uvedených technik audiovizuálního překladu. Byla rozdělena do pěti částí, v nichž byla provedena analýza každé z překladatelských verzí, tj. polského voice-over, polských titulků a českých titulků na základě originálu v angličtině.The aim of this thesis is to analyze selected translation questions in the Polish and Czech versions of the American series Breaking Bad, more specifically its fourth season, which consists of 13 episodes. The thesis is dealing with questions of the potential indifference or difficulty of translation. It is supposed to show the obstacles which will the translator face. It was also an attempt to answer the question of whether there was a recipe for a perfect translation. The first theoretical part of the thesis is the presentation of the theory and techniques of audiovisual translation and methods of working with them. The aim of the second, practical part of the thesis was to point out the practical application of those techniques of audiovisual translation. It was divided into five sections in which each translation version was analyzed, i.e., the Polish voice-over, the Polish subtitling, and the Czech subtitling based on the English original.
