Rituál Vision Quest, Hledání vize, vychází z šamanských tradic a v České republice jej ročně absolvuje několik desítek účastníků. V této práci se zaměřuji na zážitky účastníků tohoto rituálu na území České republiky, jejich záměr a rozhodnutím se rituálu účastnit, prožíváním jednotlivých fází rituálu a také zpětným hodnocením účasti. V teoretické části se věnuji problematice rituálů, jejich rozdělením a fázemi, ale také důležitosti rituálů pro jedince. Dále se soustředím na samotný rituál Vision Quest, jeho aktuální průběh a provedení v České republice, ale také na kulturní odlišnosti a význam. Výzkumný soubor se skládal z pěti respondentů, tří mužů a dvou žen. Data byla získána prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, které byly analyzovány kvalitativní metodou IPA. Z výsledků vyplynulo, že mezi důvody účasti patří sebepoznání, potřeba změny v životě, nalezení cesty z krize, ale také posun na spirituální cestě. Prožitky byly ve všech fázích rituálu intenzivní, týkaly se všech oblastí a modalit. Zážitek byl hodnocen jako velký posun v životech účastníků, ze kterého si odnáší sebepoznání, sebedůvěru a vyšší sebehodnotu, ale také změnu životních hodnot.The Vision Quest ritual, is based on shamanic traditions and is performed by several participants every year in the Czech Republic. In this thesis I focus on the experiences of participants in the Czech Republic, their intention and decision to participate in the ritual, experiences in various stages of the ritual and also a retrospective evaluation of participation. In the theoretical part I deal with the issue of rituals, their classification and phases, but also the importance of rituals for individuals. I focus on the Vision Quest ritual itself, its current perfromation in the Czech Republic, but also cultural differences and significance. The research group consisted of five respondents, three men and two women. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, which were analyzed by the qualitative IPA method. The results showed that the reasons for participation include self-knowledge, the need for change in life, finding a way out of the crisis, but also a shift on the spiritual path. The experiences were intense in all phases of the ritual, covering all areas and modalities. The experience was evaluated as a big shift in the lives of the participants, from which it takes away self-knowledge, self-confidence and higher self-worth, but also a change in life values.
