Tato práce se zabývá specifickým stupněm hospodářského vývoje evropských zemí a regionů, fenoménem měnové integrace. Existence Evropské unie společně s dvacátým výročím jednotné měny (Eura) v r. 2021 nepředstavují první ani jediný příklad takovýchto hospodářsko-politických struktur, ač samotný vývoj Evropy během 20. století a jejího uspořádání ve formě národních států může takovouto myšlenku naznačovat. Na základě vzájemných vztahů, podmíněných podobnými zájmy vládců jednotlivých územních celků, docházelo, resp. dochází k integracím a unifikacím měnových systémů již více než dva tisíce let. Po boku těchto integrační tendencí dochází paralelně po stejnou dobu k decentralizacím území i samotných ekonomik. Tyto protichůdné, avšak navzájem se doplňující podmnožiny reflektují do značné míry nejen hospodářský vývoj regionů, ale zároveň jejich geopolitickou kompaktnost či roztříštěnost, což do značné míry koreluje s hmotnými doklady - měnovými systémy a monetárními platidly a jejich regionální platnosti.This thesis is focused on the specific topic of economic development of european lands and region - phenomenom of monetary integration. Existence of European Union together with the 20th anniversary of its common currency (Euro) in 2021 are not neither the first nor the only example of these kind of economic-political structures. Although the development of Europe during the 20th century and its organization in form of nation-states may indicate this possibility. Based on the mutual relations influenced by the similar interests of rulers of individual territorial units are the integrations and unifications of monetary systems known for more than two thousand years. Alongside of these integration tendencies there occurs also to decentralization of individual territories and economics. These antagonistic but also complementary to each other subsets shows significantly not only the economic development of regions but also their geopolitical compactness or fragmentation. These factors correlate to a large extent with material documents - monetary systems and monetary currency and their regional validity.
