Tato práce analyzuje vyobrazení válečného korespondenta ve filmu. Přístup k řešení byl založen na rozboru z knihy Roberta Ray A Certain Tendency of the Hollywood Cinema, 1930-1980, ve které autor předkládá teorii o tendenci vyobrazovat padouchy a hrdiny v Hollywoodském filmu. Tento koncept byl upraven pro potřeby zkoumání žurnalistického filmu ve knize Journalism in the Movie Matthew C. Ehrlicha. Obě tyto teorie byly v této práci uplatněny pro zjištění, jaké typy žurnalistů se objevují ve filmech z obdobích 80. let a 2000-2009.There have been parsed depictions of war correspondents in the realm of movie in this thesis. A research approach has been based on a breakdown excerpted out of the book by Robert Ray A Certain Tendency of the Hollywood Cinema, 1930-1980 wherein the scholar puts forward a theory that deals with a depiction of the villains and the heroes in the Hollywood movie. The Ray's draft has been altered and adjusted for a need of researching journalistic movies by Matthew C. Ehrlich in the book Journalism in the Movie (2006) subsequently. There's been applied the theories set out by both for ascertaining the sorts of journalists occurring in the films from two premeditated terms i.e. 80s and the Aughts in this thesis.
