Bakalárska diplomová práca sa venuje filmu Boyhood (2014) režiséra Richarda Linklatera, ktorý chápe ako film spadajúci do žánru coming-of-age. Identifikuje v ňom prvky tohto žánru opierajúc sa o sémanticko-syntaktický prístup k žánru po vzore Ricka Altmana. Práca ďalej špecifikuje postavenie žánrových postupov vedľa autorských tendencií filmu Boyhood, na čo využíva analýzu predošlej tvorby Richarda Linklatera. Ťažiskovým východiskom tejto práce je ale neoformalistický prístup popísaný Kristin Thompsonovou, vďaka ktorému práca identifikuje časozbernú metódu ako dominantu filmu. Práca potom skúma využitie časozberu naprieč filmovou a televíznou produkciou a kladie si za otázku, nakoľko je jeho použitie ozvláštňujúce pre daný žáner. Azda najvýznamnejší záver práce môžeme vyvodiť z výsledku analýzy formy Boyhood, ktorá odhalila využitie aspektov dokumentaristického prístupu, observácie a inscenovanej reality v hranom filme, ktoré považuje za súčasť autorského štýlu a ozvláštnenie daného žánru.The thesis is devoted to Richard Linklater's Boyhood (2014), which is recognized as a film fitting into the coming-of-age genre. It identifies elements of this genre using the syntactic/semantic approach to film genre described by Rick Altman. Moreover, the thesis specifies the role of genre patterns in comparison to auteur tendencies present in the film, which is achieved by conducting an analysis of the author's previous work. Although, it is thanks to the neoformalist approach presented by Kristin Thompson, that the thesis pivotal part can be dedicated to identifying film's dominant - the use of timelapse technique. The thesis then carries out a research into film and television productions and questions to what extent does suchlike technique pose as a defamiliarizing element to the genre. Although, the most significant outcome of my analysis of Boyhood could be, perhaps, the finding of use of such aspects as of documentary approach, observation and inscenated reality, which are then considered to be a part of the author's style and posing defamiliarizing to the genre.
