The diploma thesis examines the EU enlargement process in relation to Serbia, especially the evolution of the process of implementing the EU (i. e. Acquis Communautaire) with special focus on the Chapter 27 Environment and Climate Change. The analysis is conducted under the umbrella of the Europeanization process. At the beginning, the Thesis briefly describes Europeanization characteristics, especially about the candidate countries. In this regard, the cooperation of two member states (Austria and the Czech Republic) within the Twinning Projects, is compared.
