Táto práca sa venuje sieťovým naratívom v celovečerných filmoch britského režiséra a scenáristu Mikea Leigha mimo jeho televíznu tvorbu. Práca je koncipovaná naratologicky, pričom hlavným metodologickým východiskom je koncept sieťového naratívu v podaní Davida Bordwella. Ďalej sú reflektované i koncepty alternatívneho rozprávania od Charlesa Ramireza Berga, Petra Parshalla a Marie del Mar Azcony, ktorí sa zaoberajú filmami s viacerými protagonistami. Cieľom práce je rozoberanie a identifikovanie úrovni prepojenosti jednotlivých dejových línií v Leighových filmoch. Pozornosť je zameraná i na typológiu motívou a tém rozvíjajúcich v režisérovej tvorbe. Prínos práce spočíva v skutočnosti, že v československom kontexte nebola práca na túto ani príbuznú tému zatiaľ napísaná. Táto práca poskytuje prehľad o Leighovej štruktúre sieťového naratívu, pričom obecným záverom práce je jeho prepojenie sieťového naratívu s prvkami britského sociálneho realizmu.This thesis deals with network narrative in feature length films of the British director and screenwriter Mike Leigh. The Master Thesis does not aim to work with Leigh's television film production. The thesis is structured narratologically where the main methodological approach is the concept of network narrative coined by David Bordwell. Alternative narrative concepts in the work of Charles Ramirez Berg, Peter Parshall and Maria del Mar Azcona are also reflected in the thesis. These theorists are concerned with films that deal with many protagonists as well. The aim of the thesis is to analyze and to identify the level of connection of the plot lines in Leighs movies. The focus is also targeted on typology of motives and themes appearing in Leighs movies with network narrative. The asset of the thesis lies in the fact that this kind of work has not yet been studied in Czech or Slovak context. The thesis supply an overview of Leigh's structure of the network narrative, where the general conclusion is Leigh's connection with the concept of social realism in British cinema.
