Hypotézu týkající se existence statisticky významného rozdílů v délce hraní počítačových her u pracujících a studujících osob věkové kategorie 18-25 let nepřijímáme. Díky deskriptivní statistice jsme zjistili rozdíly v délce hraní počítačových her napříč různými věkovými skupinami, rozdíl týkající se obsahu osobního setkání u mužů a u žen, rozdíly v preferenci jednotlivých žánrů počítačových her a procentuální zastoupení osobního setkání v rámci různých věkových kategorií. Na základě výsledků jsme nastínili principy utváření blízkých vztahů skrze počítačové hry, přičemž jsme nepotvrdili teoretický předpoklad pro přítomnost negativních či traumatizujících zážitků v rámci osobního setkání.Establishing relationships through new media may not always be considered risky and dangerous, but it can be a source of new friendships and relationships. The main goal of the work was to quantitatively describe the frequency and individual specifics of close relationships created through computer games. The theoretical part of the work is focused on topics from the areas of interpersonal relationships, computer cames and the specifics of interpersonal relationships in a virtuál environment. The practical part is devoted to research for which we have chosen a quantitative design. The sample of our research was created using self-sampling and the snowball method. Inductive and descriptive statistics were used for data analysis. We accept the hypothesis relating to statistically significant influence of personal encounters on closeness and trust and we accept the hypothesis dealing with the statistically significant difference of building trust and closeness between men and women. We do not accept the hypothesis expecting statistically significant differences in the lenght of playing computer games among working and studying people at the age from 18 to 25 years. Descriptive statistics confirmed differences in the lenght of playing comuter games across different groups of age, differences in the content of face-to-face meetings for men and women, differences in the preference of individual genres of computer cames and the percentage of face-to-face meetings within different categories of age. Based on the results, we outlined the principles of forming close relationships through computer games, while we did not confirm the theoretical assumption for the presence of negative or traumatic experiences in a personal meeting.
