Cílem práce je porovnat sebehodnocení a další charakteristiky (sefl-efficacy, úzkost a deprese) pacientů s nespecifickými střevními záněty (IBD), syndromem dráždivého tračníku (IBS) a kontrolní skupiny osob bez gastrointestinálního onemocnění (KS). Dalším cílem je porovnat vnímanou stigmatizaci pacientů s IBD a IBS. V rámci kvantitativního přístupu jsou administrovány Rosenbergova škála sebehodnocení (RŠS), Dotazník obecné vlastní efektivity (DOVE), Nemocniční škála úzkosti a deprese (HADS) a Škála vnímané stigmatizace pro osoby s onemocněním IBS (PSS-IBS). Výzkumný vzorek tvoří 72 pacientů s IBD a 40 pacientů s IBS, kteří jsou vybráni příležitostným výběrem přes zdravotnickou instituci, a 104 osob v KS vybraných kvótním výběrem dle pohlaví a věku. Pacienti s IBS mají významně vyšší globální skóre stigmatu než pacienti s IBD.The aim of this study is to compare self-esteem and other characteristics (self-efficacy, anxiety and depression) of patients with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD), patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and control group of people without gastrointestinal problems. Another goal is to compare perceived stigma of patients with IBD and IBS. Within a quantitative methodological approach there are administrated: Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), the Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and the Perceived Stigma Slace for IBS (PSS-IBS). The resesarch group includes 72 IBD patients and 40 IBS patients, selected occassionally through health institution, and 104 people with no gastrointestinal problems selected by quota selection according to sex and age. IBD patients have higher score on RSES than IBS patinets, but this difference is no significant. IBD patients have significantly higher score on GSES than IBS patients. The mean scores on RSES and GSES are higher in both groups of patinets than in controls, even the score of IBD patinets on RSES is signicantly higher than in controls. The level of anxiety in IBS patients is significantly lower than in IBD partients and also than in controls. IBD patients have lower level of anxiety than controls and this difference is not significant. IBS patients have higher level of depression than IBD patients, this difference is not significant. Both groups of patients have significantly higher levels of depression than controls. IBS patients have significantly higher global stigma score than IBD patients.
