Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na vztah mezi krajinou a lidmi v širším okolí Prachovských skal., které bylo pro vypracování této diplomové práce vymezeno. V První část pojednává o udržitelném rozvoji a udržitelnosti společně s cestovním ruchem a jejich vzájemné interakce. V druhé části je vymezeno území širšího okolí Prachovských skal, popsána fyzicko-geografická a sociálně-ekonomická charakteristika. Dále se práce věnuje problematice spojené s cestovním ruchem ve vymezené lokalitě, a to zejména s návštěvností Prachovských skal, Jinolických rybníků, s dopravou a s procesem suburbanizace v zázemí města Jičín, v této části diplomové práce jsou také zpracovávána a analyzována data o návštěvnosti Prachovských skal a o vytíženosti ubytovací kapacity jednoho z kempů v bezprostřední blízkosti Jinolického rybníku Němeček.The aim of the diploma thesis is the research into the relationship between the landscape and the people in a wider area of the Prachov Rocks. The first part of the thesis deals with the description of sustainable development, sustainability, along with tourism and their mutual interactions. The second part of the thesis defines the wider area of the Prachov Rocks. The physical-geographical and the socio-economic characteristics of the area are described. Furthermore, the diploma thesis is focused on the main environmental problems. It describes the issues of tourism in connection with the attendance rate mainly in the Prachov Rocks and the Jinolické Ponds areas, the process of suburbanization in Jičín's surroundings, forest economics and the sand mining. The data and the information about the environmental problems mentioned above have been processed and analyzed in this part of the thesis. Finally the diploma thesis deals with the steps which lead to a long-term sustainability.
