Bakalářská práce se zabývá osobou dirigenta Národního divadla Adolfa Čecha a seznamuje s jeho profesním růstem. Na základě bádání v časopisech Dalibor a Národní listy podává důkazy o výsledcích jeho práce a informuje o významných premiérách, které dirigoval. Dobové kritiky se shodovali v tom, že byl nesmírně pilným a pracovitým dirigentem, s vytříbeným hudebním citem. Jeho hlavním cílem bylo odvedení precizní práce a naplnění představ autora. Ctil svého učitele Bedřicha Smetanu a celý život pečoval o jeho dílo. Byl prvním, kdo nastudoval a dirigoval jeho operu Libuše. Vážil si práce dalších českých skladatelů a pečlivě připravoval a uváděl premiéry jejich oper. Byl prvním, kdo v Národním divadle nastudoval a úspěšně uvedl díla Richarda Wagnera. Adolf Čech byl ve své době uznávaným dirigentem, známou a širokou veřejností váženou osobou. Podílel se na utváření hudebního života tehdejší Prahy, stál u počátků budování české operní scény a svou prací a svědomitým přístupem přispěl k mnohým úspěchům Národního divadla.This bachelor thesis deals with the conductor of the National Theater Adolf Čech and introduces his professional career and artistic growth. Based on many research papers in the magazines Dalibor and Národní listy, they deliver reports on the results of his work and inform us about important premieres of works that he conducted himself. The critics of the time agreed that he was a diligent and hard-working conductor, with a refined musical understanding. His main goal was to perform precise work and fulfill the author's representative. He honored his teacher Bedřich Smetana and took care of his work for all his life. He was the first to stage and conduct the famous opera Libuše. He valued the work of other Czech composers and carefully prepared and presented the premieres of their operas. He was the first to stage and successfully perform works by Richard Wagner at the National Theater. Adolf Čech was a respected conductor at his time and a well-known and long-respected person. He took part in shaping the musical life of the Prague, he was at the beginning of building Czech opera stages and their works, and with a conscientious approach he contributed to many successes of the National Theater.
