Tato studie je považována za první analýzu protijezuitského diskurzu v Portugalsku zaměřenou na obraz jezuitů prostřednictvím studia lexikálních a gramatických prostředků koheze. Hlavním cílem je přispět ke studiu portugalského antijezuitismu a jazykových prostředků povrchové struktury protijezuitských textů. Naše analýza se zaměřuje na texty psané v několika románských jazycích (portugalština, španělština, francouzština), které kolovaly v Portugalsku od 16. do 18. století. Práce je koncipovaná do tří kapitol. První dvě se inspirují teoriemi Pierra Bourdieho (studie sociálního prostoru prostřednictvím analýzy sociálního pole a kapitálu). První kapitola se zaměřuje na studium sociálního pole, které bylo ovlivněno historickými událostmi v Portugalsku a Brazílii. Ve druhé kapitole se věnujeme podrobnější analýze slov poslušnost a chudoba, která se objevují v protijezuitských textech a staly se předmětem kritiky. Ve třetí kapitole, která je nejrozsáhlejší, se zabýváme lingvistickou analýzou protijezuitských textů. Analyzujeme formální spojitosti elementárních textových jednotek ve struktuře textu, které jsou výsledkem rekurence nebo substituce jazykových prostředků. Na jejich základě pak sestavujeme obraz jezuitů, který koloval portugalskou společností od 16. století. Prostřednictvím naší analýzy poukazujeme na povahu jednotlivých jazykových prostředků, rovněž jako na vliv sociálních polí a jezuitského kapitálu na strukturu a lexikum textů. Při analýze protijezuitského diskurzu podtrhujeme rovněž jeho ideologický charakter, který nám umožňuje pochopit mocenské vztahy v Portugalsku v průběhu několika staletí stejně jako vnímat dopad těchto vztahů na portugalskou společnost a na formování protijezuitského hnutí.This study is the first analysis of anti-Jesuit discourse in Portugal and focuses on the image of Jesuits by analyzing lexical resources of cohesion. Its main goal is to contribute to the study of Portuguese anti-Jesuitism. Our analysis focuses on anti-Jesuit texts written in several Romance languages (Portuguese, Spanish, French) that were spread in Portugal from the 16th to the 18th centuries. The thesis is conceived in three chapters. The first two chapters are inspired by the theories of Pierre Bourdie (study of social space through analysis of social field and capital). The first chapter focuses on the study of the social field, which was influenced by historical events in Portugal and Brazil. The second chapter analyzes in more detail the words obedience and poverty as subjects of anti-Jesuit criticism and their significance in the wider Jesuit context. The third chapter, the most extensive one, deals with the linguistic analysis of anti-Jesuit texts. We analyze the text cohesion which arises from semantic relationships between grammar and words, focused on recurrence or substitution of language resources. Through our analysis, we compose an image of the Jesuits and refer to the nature of the individual linguistic recourses, as well as the influence of social fields and the Jesuit capital on the structure and lexicon of anti-Jesuit texts. In analyzing the anti-Jesuit discourse, we also emphasize its ideological character, which allows us to understand the power relations in Portugal over several centuries, as well as to perceive the impact of these relations on Portuguese society and on the formation of the anti-Jesuit movement.
