Diplomantka provede žánrovou analýzu pořadu The Living and the Dead (2016, BBC One). Jedná se hororový seriál spadající do subžánru folk horor. Pro folk horor je typický konflikt interní komunity s externími jedinci a také konflikt pokroku a tradice. To pořad naplňuje a zároveň přichází s novými způsoby reprezentace těchto narativů. Cílem bakalářské práce je určit, jak pořad The Living and the Dead subžánr inovuje, aniž by se odchýlil od jeho konvencí. K analýze diplomantka využije metodu sociální konvence Andrew Tudora.Undergraduate student will write genre analysis of TV series The Living and the Dead (2016, BBC One). It is horror TV series belonging to folk horror subgenre. Folk horror is known for the topic of conflict between internal community and externí individuals and conflict between progress and tradition. The TV series is fullfiling these requirements but The show is also comming up with new ways of representation of these narratives. The goal of this undergraduate theses is to determine how is the subvence inovated within The TV series The Living and The Dead. Undergraduate student is using Andrew Tudor's method of Social Convention to writer the analysis.
