Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá srovnáním dvojjazyčného a klasického překladu. Ty srovnávám také s jejich výchozími texty pomocí srovnávací analýzy. Analýzu provádím na dvou dílech Agathy Christie - Cornwallská záhada a Vražda krejčovským metrem. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část je rozdělena do šesti kapitol, ve kterých se věnuji životu a dílu Agathy Christie, dvojjazyčné četbě, vybraným textům, překladatelům vybraných textů, teorii hlasu překladatele a čtenáři. Praktická část srovnává překlady z pohledu grafických parametrů, jako například počet řádků na stránkách dvojjazyčného vydání, slova na konci stránky dvojjazyčného vydání, pomlčky, kurzíva, uvozovky, a dále jazykové parametry, jako cizí jazyk v textu a nářečí. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit, do jaké míry se liší dvojjazyčné a klasické překlady, a také který z nich reprodukuje originální výchozí text věrněji. Výsledky analýzy popisuji jednotlivě u každého parametru v praktické části, poté souhrnně v závěru práce.This thesis deals with the comparison of a bilingual and a classic translation. I compare these translations with their source texts as well using a comparative analysis. Two works by Agatha Christie were analysed - The Cornish Mystery and The Tape-Measure Murder. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is divided into six chapters in which I deal with the life and work of Agatha Christie, bilingual books, the chosen texts, the translators of the chosen texts, the theory of the voice of translator and the reader. The practical part compares the graphic parameters of the translations, for example the number of lines on the pages of the bilingual books, the words at the end of pages in the bilingual books, dashes, italics, quotation marks, and linguistic parameters, such as foreign language in the text and dialect. The main aim of the thesis is to determine how much bilingual and classic translations differ and which one of these reproduces the original source text more faithfully. The results of the analysis are described individually for each parameter in the practical part, then collectively in the summary of the thesis.
