Práce se formou metakritické analýzy věnuje možnostem rozboru postavy jako jednoho ze základních stylotvorných prvků výstavby narativního audiovizuálního díla. Vychází z koncepce reflexe postavy ve filmovém díle jako zrcadla psychosociálních tendencí, opírajíce se o pojetí filmu jako výrazu kolektivního nevědomí, užité mj. Siegfriedem Kracauerem. V návaznosti na teze tzv. nové filmové historie pak jako předpoklad analýzy určuje chápání děl v kontextu společenských, historických a technologických podmínek jejich vzniku. Definuje pojem "současná česká kinematografie", jako perspektivní pole výzkumu, mapuje literaturu věnující se tématu postavy v českém poválečném filmu a na konkrétních příkladech identifikuje možné metodologické postupy. Ve druhé části se věnuje rozboru metodologie sociologického projektu Obraz člověka v české kinematografii 1922-1963. Z výsledků analýz vyvozuje návrh metodologických přístupů pro studium postavy v současném českém filmu.Using the metacritical approach, the thesis addresses the possible methods of the analysis of the character, as the critical stylistic element of the narrative structure in film art. Starting from the concept of art as an expression of the collective unconsciousness of the society, as used by Sigfried Kracauer, it assumes films mirror the psycho-social trends of the society. Using the approach of "new film history", it suggests that analysis of the film shall take into account its historical, technological, economic, and political context. It defines the term "Czech contemporary cinema", maps the existing literature, and analyzes it to identify used methodologies. The second part examines the sociological research project The image of the human being in the Czech cinema 1922-1933 as methodologically the most elaborate study of the character so far. In conclusion, the thesis proposes the methodological approaches to the further analysis of the role in the contemporary Czech cinema.
