Situace, kdy se matka ocitne v roli asistenta pedagoga u svého postiženého dítěte, není v praxi příliš obvyklá, většinou tuto práci vykonává někdo jiný než rodinný příslušník. Jaké jsou důvody žen, které začnou na pozici asistentky pedagoga u svého dítěte pracovat? Jak zvládají tyto ženy obě role a jak je ovlivněn jejich vztah s dítětem? Práce se snaží zmapovat situaci žen/matek postiženého dítěte, kteří o své dítě pečují nejen doma, ale i ve škole a pomáhají mu při výuce a dalších činnostech. Teoretická část popisuje charakteristiky pozice asistenta pedagoga, zabývá se obtížnou situací rodin s postiženým dítětem a přináší poznatky z praxe, kdy rodič jako asistent (asistent pedagoga a osobní asistent) se svým postiženým dítětem pracuje, včetně přiblížení některých studií na toto téma. Jedná se o kvalitativně zaměřený výzkum, jehož výsledky poukazují na obtížnou situaci žen, určitý nátlak na ně, jejich velké zatížení plynoucí z neustálé péče o dítě a jejich přítomnosti u něj a na proměnu vztahu matky a dítěte pod vlivem stálé matčiny přítomnosti. Přínos práce spočívá především v přiblížení zatím nepříliš probádané problematiky.The situation when a mother finds herself in the role of a teaching assistant for her disabled child is not quite usual in practice. This work is mostly done not by a family member but rather by someone else. What are the reasons for a woman to start working in the position of a teaching assistant for her child? How do such women manage both roles, and how does it influence their relationship with the child? The thesis proposes to map the situation of women/mothers of disabled children; mothers who take care of their children both at home and in the school and help them during the educational and other activities. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of the teaching assistant´s position, covers the problematic situation of families with a disabled child, and brings forth data from the practical situations when a parent as an assistant (a teaching assistant and a personal assistant) works with the disabled child. The thesis also highlights some theories for this topic. The research is qualitative, and the results describe the difficult situation of women, certain pressure on them, significant burden resulting from the constant presence and care of the child and the changing relation between the mother and child due to the lasting mother presence. The thesis contribution rests primarily in introducing issues which have not yet been well researched.
