Diplomová práce se zabývá kariérními přechody u snowboardových jezdců a jejich životní spokojeností. Cílem práce je analýza strategií a způsobů, jakých využívají snowboardisté k tomu, aby nadále mohli trávit zimní sezóny na horách. Výzkum probíhal v období od ledna do března roku 2020 v rakouských alpách. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo šest účastníků ve věku od 23 do 38 let s různou délkou praxe. Ke sběru dat bylo využito polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, metody čáry života a zúčastněného pozorování. Data byla zpracována pomocí přepisu a překladu z angličtiny do češtiny a analyzována metodou tvorby trsů. Z výsledků vyplývá, že hlavní strategií pro tento způsob života je nebýt vázaný na jedno místo například kvůli práci či rodině. Zásadní zjištění poukazuje na fakt, že účastníci jsou v současné době spokojeni se svým životním stylem a jsou ochotni mu obětovat i založení rodiny a výchovu dětí, což nabízí myšlenku, provést následný výzkum, který by směřoval na stejnou skupinu jedinců, ale s časovým odstupem.The diploma thesis deals with career transitions for snowboard riders and their life satisfaction. The aim of this work is to analyze the strategies and ways in which snowboarders use them to continue to spend the winter seasons in the mountains. The research took place in the period from January to March 2020 in the Austrian Alps and in Olomouc. The research group consisted of six participants aged 23 to 38 with different lengths of practice. Semi-structured interviews, life line methods and participatory observation were used to collect data. The data were processed by transcription and translation from English into Czech and analyzed by the method of creating clumps. The results show that the main strategy for this way of life is not to be tied to one place, for example because of work or family. The key findings point to the fact that participants are currently satisfied with their lifestyle and are willing to sacrifice family formation and child rearing, which offers the idea of conducting follow-up research that would target the same group of individuals, but with a time lag.
