Diplomová práce se zabývá možností podpory dospělých jedinců s mentálním postižením formou dobrovolnictví. Teoretická část je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola popisuje dobrovolnictví, jeho vymezení, kategorizaci, historii a legislativu. Kapitola pojednávající o dobrovolníkovi popisuje osobnost dobrovolníka, motivaci k dobrovolnictví i bariéry, se kterými se dobrovolníci často setkávají. Nedílnou součástí této kapitoly je také problematika organizace dobrovolníků. Kapitola zabývající se osobami s mentálním postižením vymezuje základní pojmy, klasifikuje mentální postižení dle specifických kritérií a charakterizuje osobnost jedince s mentálním postižením. Poslední kapitola teoretické části diplomové práce se zabývá možností podpory dospělých jedinců s mentálním postižením formou dobrovolnictví. Druhá část diplomové práce, tedy část praktická, vymezuje metodologická východiska výzkumného šetření, jeho cíle, metody, oblasti, charakteristiku vybraného vzorku výzkumného šetření, pracuje s analýzou dat výzkumného šetření a v neposlední řadě také předkládá výsledky výzkumného šetření společně s diskusí výzkumného šetření. Cílem praktické části diplomové práce je popsat dobrovolnickou činnost v organizaci JIKA, a to se zaměřením na dospělé jedince s mentálním postižením.This master thesis deals with the possibility of supporting adults with mental health disorders. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. The first chapter defines and describes volunteering; it also deals with its categorization, history and legislation. The second chapter describes volunteer's personality, motivation for volunteering and obstacles, which volunteers often encounter. The issue of organizing volunteers is an integral part of this chapter. The third chapter focuses on people with mental health disorders; it defines essential concepts, classifies mental health disorders according to specific criteria and characterizes an individual with the disorders. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the possibility of supporting adults with mental health disorders. The practical part of the thesis defines methodological approaches of the questionnaire construction, its goals, methods, areas of research and characteristics of a selected sample. Next it analyzes dates of the questionnaire and reveals the results of the questionnaire together with its discussion. The goal of the practical part of the thesis is describe the volunteering activities in the JIKA organization while focusing on adult individuals with mental health disorders.
