Práce se věnuje tématu užití světla jako symbolu poznání v noetických teoriích Jana Amose Komenského a Valeriána Magniho. V současném bádání nemáme k dispozici studii, která by toto téma komplexněji zpracovávala. V práci dané téma popularizuji a ukazuji možnosti jeho dalšího rozšíření. Práce je rozdělena na pět hlavních částí. V první z nich se zabývám významem světla v noetické tradici. Poukazuji také na zájem o tento pojem v raném novověku. Dále představuji noetické teorie Komenského a Magniho a jejich užití symbolu světla. Komenský spojuje světlo s představou univerzalismu, vzděláním a eschatologií. Pro Magniho je centrálním pojmem jeho noetiky Světlo mysli. V další části práce porovnávám hlavní znaky jejich noetických teorií a metody zkoumání vnějšího světa. V posledním oddílu práce představuji možnosti zařazení obou učenců do učeneckých sítí v 17. století.This work deals with the topic of use of light as symbol of knowledge in noetic theories John Amos Comenius and Valerian Magni. In the current research we don't have a study that would deals witch this topic more comprehensively. I popularize the topic and point out the possibilities of its further expansion. The work is divided into five parts. In the first of them, I deal with the concept of light in noetic tradition. I want to point out on the interest in this concept in the early modern period. I further present the noetic theories of Comenius and Magni and their use of the symbol of light. Comenius connects light with the idea of universalism, education and eschatology. Light of the Mind is the central concept of Magni noetics. In the next part of the work, I compare the main features of their noetic theories and methods of knowledge of the external world. In the last section of the thesis I present the possibilities of including of both scholars in scholarly networks in the 17th century.
