V této práci shrnuji veškeré dostupné poznatky o rodu Lacon (Coleoptera: Elateridae), přičemž hlavní důraz je kladen na historický vývoj klasifikace a distribuce skupiny. Součástí práce je katalog všech druhů rodu Lacon. Ten obsahuje informace o typovém materiálu, typových lokalitách, rozšíření a veškeré literatuře vztahující se k jednotlivým druhům. Rod Lacon zahrnuje 157 druhů. Převážná většina se nachází v Palearktickém regionu. Počet druhů bude v budoucnosti stoupat, protože východní Asie není ještě dobře prozkoumána. To se dá říct i o subsaharské Africe, kde se stále objevují nové druhy.In this bachelor thesis I summarize all available knowledge about the genus Lacon (Coleoptera: Elateridae), with the main emphasis on the historical development of the classification and distribution of the group. Part of the work is a catalogue of all species of the genus Lacon. It contains information on type material, type localities, distribution and all literature related to individual species. The genus Lacon includes 157 species. The vast majority of them are located in the Palaearctic region. The number of species will increase in the future as East Asia is not yet well researched. This can also be said in sub-saharan Africa, where new species are constantly being discovered.
