Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá osvícenským Absolutismem v době vlády rakousko-uherského panovníka Josefa II. Představuje nejen jeho osobitý politický styl, ale taktéž přibližuje jeho nelehký život, který byl jak po vladařské, tak po lidské stránce nadmíru komplikovaný. Práce se snaží zachytit tyto skutečnosti z perspektivy dvou rakouských historiků, Humberta Finka a Friedricha Weissensteinera, jejichž díla - "Joseph II. Kaiser, König und Reformer" (1990) a "Die Söhne Maria Theresias" (2004) - o této problematice pojednávají. Cílem práce je porovnat jejich stanoviska a na základě toho objasnit, jestli se vnímání Josefa II. během let změnilo či nikoli. A současně pokusit se zodpovědět otázky, které s tématem souvisí.This bachelor thesis deals with the Enlightened absolutism during the reign of Joseph II., the ruler of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It describes not only the specific way of his policy, but also his life, which had not been easy at all, considering the fact, that his reign and privacy were because of his position very complicated. This thesis tries to present these circumstances in the point of view of two Austrian historians, Humbert Fink and Friedrich Weissensteiner, whose works "Joseph II. Kaiser, König und Reformer" (1990) and "Die Söhne Maria Theresias" (2004) focus on this topic. The final task of the thesis is to compare the opinions of historians and so make clear if the perception of Joseph II. has changed over the years or not, and it also attempts to find the answers to the questions relating to the topic.
