Bakalářská práce se zabývá pohledem odsouzených na roli vychovatele ve věznici. V teoretické části je popsán vězeňský systém České republiky, personální zajištění a charakteristika práce vychovatele oddělení výkonu trestu. Pro výzkumnou část byl zvolen kvalitativní přístup s užitím strukturovaných rozhovorů s deseti respondenty z oddílů se středním i vysokým stupněm zabezpečení ve Věznici Rýnovice. Volba účastníků proběhla metodou záměrného účelového výběru. Cílem bylo zjistit, jaké je povědomí odsouzených o roli vychovatele. Data byla analyzována metodou vytváření trsů. Interpretace proběhla formou rozhovorů s expertní skupinou. Ze závěrů výzkumu vyplývá, že povědomí odsouzených o roli vychovatele se v některých zásadních bodech liší od oficiálního zakotvení této profese v legislativním rámci. Konkrétně jde o kázeňskou pravomoc, kterou namísto výchovné funkce odsouzení připodobňují principu odplaty a také o domnělou podřízenost vychovatelů vůči dalším občanským zaměstnancům.The bachelor thesis deals with the view of convicts on the role of educator in prison. The theoretical part describes the prison system of the Czech Republic, staffing and characteristics of the work of the educator in imprisonment department. A qualitative approach was used for the research part using structured interviews with ten respondents from the middle and high security sections at Rýnovice Prison. The choice of participants was done by the method of intentional purpose selection. The aim was to find out what the convicts are aware of the educator role. The data was analyzed by the tuft generation method. Interpretation took the form of interviews with an expert group. The conclusions of the research show that the awareness of convicts about the role of educator differs in some crucial points from the official embedding of this profession in the legislative framework. Specifically, it is a disciplinary authority which, instead of the educational function of convicts, is similar to the principle of retribution and also the alleged subordination of educators to other civil employees.
