El objetivo de la tesis es descubrir qué conexión e impacto tuvo la problemática infantil paraguaya en el camino de vida de Rafael Barrett. La primera parte contextualiza el marco histórico y sociocultural en Paraguay. Se presenta la marca de la Guerra Grande, y se aclara el concepto de "infancia" al igual que diversas generaciones y movimientos literario. La segunda parte se basa en el análisis textual de los artículos publicados por el autor. Utilizando categorías predeterminadas se muestra el rol del nino en la obra literaria de Barrett y su continua transformación de identidad.The objective of the thesis is to discover what connection and impact the Paraguayan children's issues had on Rafael Barrett's life path. The first part contextualizes the historical and sociocultural framework in Paraguay. The Great War is presented, and the concept of "childhood" is clarified as well as various literary movements and generations. The second part is based on the textual analysis of the articles published by the author. Using predetermined categories is showed the child's role in Barrett's literary work and his continuous identity transformation.
