Bakalářská práce se zabývá životem a kariérou tenoristy Karla Buriana v českých zemích. Skládá se ze stručného Burianova životopisu, dále se zabývá Burianovou počáteční pěveckou dráhou, velkou část prostoru věnuje Burianově působení v Národním divadle. Zde se zabývá jeho repertoárem, hudebními recenzemi na Burianovi pěvecké výkony, umělcovými financemi a vztahy mezi Burianem a současníky. Zbytek bakalářské práce popisuje Burianovo hostování v českých městech.The bachelor thesis deals with the life and career of tenor Karel Buran in the Czech lands. It consists of a brief Burian's biography, then deals with Burian's initial vocal career, and devotes much of its space to Burian's work at the National Theater. In this part, it deals with his repertoire, music reviews on Burian's artistic performances, his finances and relations between Burian and his contemporaries. The rest of the bachelor thesis describes Burian's hosting in other Czech cities.
