Bakalářská práce se zabývá komparací seriálu Vikingové se skutečnými historickými prameny vikinské doby a vhodností implementace audiovizuálního díla do výuky dějepisu. Blíže specifikuje jednotlivé primární prameny této doby a zjišťuje, zda aspekty korespondují s obsahem seriálu. V návaznosti na zjištěné skutečnosti hodnotí využití seriálu jako učební pomůcky v didaktice. Okrajově se věnuje problematice absence staroseverské kultury v učebních osnovách. Závěr práce charakterizuje významné legendy Staroseveřanů a zároveň protagonisty seriálu Vikingové.The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of the TV show The Vikings with the actual historical sources of the Viking Age and the appropriateness of the implementation of the audiovisual work into History (school subject). It specifies individual primary sources of this period and determines whether the aspects correspond with the content of the series. In connection with the found facts, it evaluates the use of the series as teaching aids in didactics. Marginally, it deals with the issue of the absence of Old Norse culture in the curriculum. The end of the work is characterized by important viking legends and also the protagonists of The Vikings.
