The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to consider methods and approaches used by elementary school teachers to improve and encourage the mastery of English as a foreign language to children with learning disabilities. It is believed that every child is teachable despite the degree of their special needs. There are methods or approaches that are designed to suit a child with disability. The main focus in this thesis is to explore strategies and tools that facilitate the teaching of English as a foreign language to children with learning disabilities. An online questionnaire was designed for this study and was distributed via email to English teachers of primary schools in Olomouc region of Czech Republic. Out of 72 schools that were contacted via email, 41 teachers answered the questionnaire items.
