Diplomová práca sa zaoberá Efektivitou Constraint - Induced Movement (CIM) terapie u pacientov s hemiparézou. Terapia je zameraná na aktivity denného bežného života pacienta, Activities of Daily Living (ADL). Terapia zahŕňa obmedzenie nepoškodenej hornej končatiny a aktívne využitie hemiparetickej hornej končatiny za účelom zvýšenia jej funkčného využitia. Cieľom práce je aplikácia CIM terapie u výskumnej skupiny s jej následných zhodnotením a diskusiou o efekte terapie. Teoretická časť popisuje neuroplasticitu, jej klasifikáciu, hemiparézu, ADL činností a samotnú CIM terapiu. V praktickej časti sa nachádza popis priebehu celého výskumu. Výskumu sa zúčastnilo 8 pacientov a každý pacient absolvoval CIM terapiu 2 hodiny denne v trvaní dvoch týždňov, vždy počas pracovných dní. V rámci testovania každého pacienta boli využité tri testy: Barthel index, Wolf motor funcion test (WMFT) a Motor Activity Log (MAL). Signifikantne významne to potvrdzuje výsledok Barthel indexu (p = 0,017961), MAL AS (p = 0,011719) MAL HW (p = 0,011719) a WMFT (p = 0,011719). CIM terapia je efektívna pre zlepšenie ADL činností u pacientov s hemiparézou. The diploma thesis concerns with the Effectiveness of Constraint - Induced Movement (CIM) therapy in patients with hemiparesis. The therapy is focused on the Activities of Daily Living (ADL). Therapy includes limitation of the undamaged upper limb and active usage of the hemiparetic upper limb to enhance it. The aim of the thesis is the application of the CIM therapy in the research group with its subsequent evaluation and the discussion about the effect of the therapy. The theoretical part describes neuroplasticity, its classification, hemiparesis, ADL and the CIM therapy itself. The practical part involves the description of the whole process of the research. Eight patients participated in the study and each patient received the CIM therapy for 2 hours a day, lasting for two weeks, always during the weekdays. Three tests have been used to test each patient: Barthel index, Wolf motor function test (WMFT) and Motor Activity Log (MAL). Every patient have been tested before and after the therapy. For the evaluation of the effectivity of the therapy have been used two tests: Mann-Whitney U test and Wilcoxon test. It has been discovered that the effectivity of the ADL in the research group improved. This fact is significantly proven by the result of the Barthel index (p = 0.017961), MAL AS (p = 0.011719) MAL HW (p = 0.011719) and WMFT (p = 0.011719). The CIM therapy proves to be effective for the improvement of the Activities of Daily Living for the patients with hemiparesis.
