Cílem této práce je pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu zmapovat druhy nebezpečí, které vnímají senioři se sníženou soběstačností využívající pečovatelskou službu a služby domova seniorů ve městě Prostějov. Zjistit jaká rizika se objevují v oblasti fyzického a psychického bezpečí a zda může sociální práce tyto pocity nebezpečí snížit či odstranit. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a výzkumnou. V teoretické části se snažím zasadit potřebu bezpečí do kontextu lidských potřeb a zdůrazňuji její potřebu ve stáří. Dále zde představuji sociální služby, ve kterých výzkum probíhal a krátce se zde zabývám sociální prací se seniory a jejím vztahem k bezpečí seniorů. Ve výzkumné části nejprve seznamuji se zvolenými metodami a s průběhem výzkumu, dále uvádím výsledky provedeného výzkumu a propojuji získané výsledky se sociální prací, tedy s možnostmi zvýšení pocitu bezpečí seniorů se sníženou soběstačností využívající pečovatelskou službu a služby domova seniorů v Prostějově, v rámci sociální práce.The aim of this thesis is with the help of qualitative research to map types of hazards which perceive senior citizens with reduced self-sufficiency using care services, and at home for older persons in town of Prostějov. To find out what hazards in the area of physical and psychical safety are, and if social work can reduce or remove these feelings of hazards. The work is divided into two parts, teoretical and research. In the teoretical part I try to put the need of safety into context of human needs and I emphasize its need in old age. I also introduce social services where the research had taken place, and I briefly deal here with social work with senior citizens and its relationship to safety of senior citizens. In the research part, firstly I introduce chosen methods and the course of research, next I present the results of the research and I link the results with social work that means options to increase feelings of safety of senior citizens with reduced self-sufficiency in care services and home for older persons in town of Prostějov, in framework of the social work.
