Bakalářská práce se zabývá souvislostí mezi spirituálními potřebami a sociální oporou u klientů domova pro seniory. Práce se skládá z teoretické a empirické části.V teoretické části jsou prezentovány základní poznatky o sociální práci se seniory v prostředí pobytové sociální služby Domov seniorů POHODA Chválkovice, dále koncept spirituálních potřeb a sociální opory. V empirické části jsou prezentovány výsledky šetření (N=50) obou proměnných za pomoci výzkumných nástrojů Indexu duchovního sebehodnocení a Dotazníku sociální opory (MOS). Analýza dat ukázala, že většina respondentů vykazuje nadprůměrnou úroveň spirituálního zdraví i sociální opory. Korelaci mezi sociální oporou a spirituálními potřebami nebylo možné prokázat pro příliš malý soubor respondentů. Na základě výsledků výzkumu v mé práci je možné provést širší výzkum, v němž lze využít stanovených hypotéz. Přínos práce tedy spatřuji v možnosti návaznosti na širší výzkum a díky velmi dobrým výsledkům v oblasti naplnění spirituálních potřeb a míry sociální opory může práce sloužit také jako motivace pro pracovníky domova pro seniory.This bachelor's thesis deals with the connection between spiritual needs and social support of the clients of a retirement home. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a empirical part. The theoretical part presents the basic knowledge about social work with seniors in the environment of the residential social service Home for Seniors POHODA Chválkovice, as well as the concept of spiritual needs and social support. The empirical part presents the results of the research (N = 50) of both variables using the research tools of the Spiritual Self-Assessment Index and the Social Support Questionnaire (MOS). The data analysis has shown that most respondents demonstrate above-average levels of spiritual health and social support. The correlation between social support and spiritual needs could not be demonstrated due to too small a set of respondents. Based on the results of the thesis research, it is possible to conduct a broader research in which it is possible to make use of the set hypotheses. Therefore, the benefit of the thesis can be seen in the possibility of a follow-up to wider research and thanks to the very good results in the area of fulfilling the spiritual needs and the level of social support, the thesis can also serve as a source of motivation for the retirement home staff.
