Práce se zabývá pravěkem a protohistorií východní části Krušných hor v oblasti Chlumecké stezky a dalších možných přechodů hor na Teplicku a Mostecku. Je shrnuto dosavadní bádání v oblasti a nálezový fond z hor. V jednotlivých kapitolách od paleolitu po dobu římskou jsou sledovány osídlení v podhůří a nálezy z horského prostředí a porovnávány s oblastí Šumavy a českomoravského pomezí. Jsou naznačeny možné interpretace těchto nálezů. Důraz je kladen na jejich vztah k cestám přes hory. Větší pozornost je věnována vybraným nálezům doby laténské a římské. Katalog zahrnuje nálezy z hor a jejich úpatí. Součástí práce jsou mapy a kresebná a fotografická dokumentace nálezů.The thesis deals with prehistory and protohistory of the eastern part of the Ore Mountains in the area of Chlumec trail and other possible mountain crossings in the districts of Teplice and Most. It summarizes the research which has been done in the area and finds from the mountains. Settlement in the foothills and finds from the mountain environment are observed in individual chapters from the Paleolithic to the Roman Era and they are compared with the regions of Šumava and the border between Bohemia and Moravia. Possible interpretations of these finds are suggested and the emphasis is on the trails leading across the mountains. More attention is paid to the selected finds of the La T?ne Period and the Roman Era. The catalogue includes findings from the mountains and the foothills. The thesis also provides us with maps and drawing and photographic documentation of the finds.
