Cílem této bakalářské práci je komparací filmu Martina Scorseseho Poslední pokušení Krista s jeho románovou předlohou od Nikose Kazantzakise. Zaměřuje se na mechanismy převodu látky z jednoho typu média do druhého. Přihlíží kromě filmu a knihy i k dostupným verzím scénáře, jejichž autorem je Paul Schrader. Metodologicky práce vycházet z konceptu Briana McFarlanea rozpracovaném v knize Novel to Film: An Introduction to the Theory of Adaptation.The goal of this thesis is the comparison of Martin Scorseses' film The Last Temptation of Christ with it's source novel by Nikos Kazantzakis. The thesis focuses on the mechanisms of trasferring the material from one medium to another. It also takes a look at the available drafts of the film's screenplay by Paul Schrader. The thesis is based on the theory of adaptation by Brian McFarlane from his book Novel to Film: An Introduction to The Theory of Film Adaptation.
