Bakalářská práce se zabývá vybranými neobvyklými slovy z biblické knihy Izajáš a jejich použitím v moderní hebrejštině. Cílem jejího výzkumu je určit, v jaké míře a v jakém významu se daná biblická slova používají dnes, a odůvodnit, proč tomu tak je. V teoretické části je popsán historický vývoj hebrejštiny od biblické doby až po současnost, s důrazem na okolnosti znovuobnovení hebrejštiny v moderní době, a její regulaci prostřednictvím Akademie hebrejského jazyka. Práce vysvětluje také pojem hapax legomenon a uvádí problematičnost jeho definování.The bachelor thesis deals with selected rare words from the Biblical book Isaiah and with their usage in Modern Hebrew. The purpose of the research is to determine to what extent the given Biblical words are used today and what is their meaning, and to justify why it is so. In the theoretical part historical development of Hebrew is described, from the Biblical times to the present, with emphasis on the circumstances of the rediscovery of Hebrew in modern times, and on its regulation by the Academy of the Hebrew language. The thesis also explains the term hapax legomena and the problematic nature of its definition.
