Práce sleduje ideál ctnostného života, jeho uplatnění a odůvodnění jeho následování, spojení ctností s dary Ducha Svatého a blahoslavenstvími, jak je předává Kristus v horském kázání. Je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí - první obecné, uvádějící do problematiky ctností, duchovního života, vzájemných vazeb s dary Ducha Svatého a blahoslavenstvími. Druhá část práce se pak ubírá směrem ke konkrétní ctnosti mírnosti, jejím projevům v životě člověka, Božímu působení a potřebě lidské otevřenosti, souvisejícímu daru bázně a blahoslavenství hovořící o chudobě ducha, a v neposlední řadě také pojednává o úzce související ctnosti čistoty a jejím projevům v lidském životě.The work follows the ideal of virtuous life, its application and the justification for its follow-up, the connection of virtues with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the beatitudes which was given by Christ in the mountain homily. It is divided into two main parts - the first general, referring to the issues of virtues, spiritual life, mutual ties with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the Beatitudes. The second part of the thesis then goes towards the specific virtue of meekness, its manifestations in human life, God's action and the need for human openness, the related gift of fear and the beatitude speaking about spirit poverty, and also deals with the closely related virtue of purity and its manifestations human life.
