Práce si klade za cíl prozkoumat osobnostní vlastnosti a emoční inteligenci volnočasových pracovníků s dětmi a mládeží. Teoretická část je zaměřena na volný čas, osobnost a emoční inteligenci. V rámci výzkumné části byl proveden výzkum na 173 volnočasových pracovnících, kteří byli získáni metodou příležitostného skupinového výběru a metodou sněhové koule. Použitými metodami jsou osobní dotazník vlastní konstrukce, NEO pětifaktorový dotazník vlastní konstrukce a TEIQue-SF. Oproti běžné populaci skórují volnočasoví pracovníci výše v dimenzích Extraverze, Svědomitost, Přívětivost a Otevřenost vůči zkušenostem, níže pak v Neuroticismu. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the personal characteristics and emotional intelligence of the free-time workers who work with children and youth. The theoretical part is focused on free time, personality and emotional intelligence of the workers. To answer this question, I compared the responds of 173 free-time workers as the used method was through the occasional group selection and the snowball method. Methods used are a personal questionnaire of my own construction, NEO five factor personality inventory and TEIQue-SF. The results showed that in comparison to the ordinary population the free-time workers score more in the dimensions of Extraversion, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness and Openness to experience, furthermore Neuroticism. Global score of the emotional intelligence shows that the free-time workers are average as in the factors of emotional intelligence Self-control and Sociability. The factor of Emotionality revealed that the free-time workers are below-average. Nevertheless, they are above-average in the Well-being factor. There is no relation between the level of the experience of the leisure time workers and their personal characteristics. However, the results showed a slight positive correlation between the level of experience and emotional intelligence. The number of the free-time workers is not affected by personal characteristics neither their emotional intelligence. The findings showed no differences between the paid free-time workers and the volunteers.
