Tato diplomová práce se zabývá obrazem nacistického režimu ve vybraných dílech alternativní historie. Stěžejní díla pocházejí od německy píšících autorů Otta Basila a Olivera Henkela. Cílem této práce je zjistit, zda a jak se zobrazení nacistického režimu liší v anglicky a německy psaných dílech alternativní historie a dále tento obraz posoudit z pohledu doby vzniku jednotlivých románů. Pozornost je věnována i anglicky psaným dílům, které lze považovat za prototypy tohoto literárního žánru. Kromě samotných románů se práce soustředí také na historický vývoj žánru alternativní historie, a to jak z hlediska historiografie, tak i světové beletrie. Dále se práce zabývá poetikou alternativní historie jako literárního žánru. V neposlední řadě je zde popsán historiografický obraz nacistického režimu a jeho vztah k totalitarismu a fašismu.This diploma thesis deals with the image of the Nazi regime in selected novels of the alternate history. Pivotal works of this thesis are written by the German authors Otto Basil and Oliver Henkel. The aim of the thesis is to discover if and how the depiction differs in English and German written works of alternate history and review the depiction considering the time when the texts were written. Attention is also paid to the English written novels that are regarded as prototypes of the genre. Besides the novels themselves the thesis also examines historical development of the genre of alternate history as a part of the worldwide fiction and from historiographical point of view. The thesis concentrates further on the poetics of alternate history as literary genre. Finally, the thesis describes historiographical image of Nazi regime and it´s relation to totalitarianism and fascism.
