Cílem této práce byla analýza autorského stylu manţelů Pellarových se zaměřením na divadelní překlad. Cílem bylo poukázat na charakteristické rysy, strategie či znaky jejich dramatických překladů. V teoretické části byl definován dramatický text, dále pak strategie a aspekty specifické pro překlad dramatického textu. V dalších kapitolách byla krátce představena problematika autorského a překladatelského stylu, dále byli představeni Rudolf a Luba Pellarovi a jejich společná práce, a také dvě analyzovaná díla, a sice Kdo se bojí Virginie Woolfové a Tramvaj do stanice Touha. V praktické části jsou do několika kategorií rozděleny znaky charakteristické pro překladatelský styl Pellarových, které byly vybrány na základě komparativní analýzy výchozích a cílových textů a zároveň srovnány s existujícím překladem hry Tramvaj do stanice Touha od Bedřicha Bechera. Tyto znaky jsou ilustrovány na množství příkladů.The aim of this diploma thesis was the translation analysis of the translatorial style of Rudolf Pellar and Luba Pellarova focused on drama translation. The main aim was to identify characteristic features of their style and strategies they used in their drama translations. The theoretical part of the thesis was dedicated to the basic definition of the dramatic text, then it focused on the strategies typical for drama translation and the following chapter discussed the issue of author's and translatorial style. In the next chapters, both of the translators, their work and the plays analyzed in this thesis, namely Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf and A Streetcar Named Desire, were introduced. The practical part offered range of typical features identified after the thorough comparative analysis of the source texts and target texts, as well as comparative analysis with the existing older translation of A Streetcar Named Desire by Bedřich Becher. The features were divided into eight categories.
