Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem sociální péče o pacienty v terminální fázi života v Nizozemsku a České republice. Jsou zde vyobrazeny zásady paliativní péče a možnosti, jak zmírnit bolesti při umírání. Především je tato práce zaměřena na eutanazii, která je v Nizozemsku legální. V práci jsou uvedeny hlavní principy, na kterých je založeno fungování takto sporného úkolu. Snaha zjistit, proč je eutanazie v České republice stále zákonem neumožněna.This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of social care for patients in the terminal phase of life in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. There are depicted the principles of palliative care and possibilities of alleviating pain during dying. Above all, this work is focused on euthanasia, which is legal in the Netherlands. The main principles on which the functioning of the task in question are based are presented in the thesis. Trying to find out why euthanasia is still not legal in the Czech Republic.
