El tema de nuestra tesis es caracterizar la época barroca y buscar como está representada en la obra La vida es sueňo escrita por Pedro Calderón de la Barca. Lo importante es encontrar lo esencial del Barroco, el desengaňo. En la parte teórica de esta tesis nos centramos en describir el Barroco entero y en la parte práctica encontrar las características de esta época en la obra de Calderón. Calderón escribe utilizando muchas figuras literarias y tiene su propio modo de ver el mundo, viéndose claramente reflejado en lo que trasmite el protagonista de su obra, Segismundo.The topic of our bachelor thesis is to characterize the Baroque period and look for how it is represented in the work La vida es sueňo written by Pedro Calderón de la Barca. What is important is to find the essential of Baroque period, the disillusion. In the theoretical part of this bachelor thesis we focus on the description of the whole Baroque period and in the practical part we find characteristics of this period in the work of Calderón. Calderón writes using many rhetorical devices and he has his own way of seeing the world that is transmitted via the protagonist of the work, Segismundo.
