El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la representación de la misión educativa republicana en la novela Historia de una maestra de Josefina Aldecoa. A base de las teorías sobre la memoria, experiencia e historia expuestas en la parte teórica, pretendemos descifrar como la autora recrea la memoria colectiva del magisterio republicano en su obra. Además, el análisis se apoya en los estudios historiográficos dedicados a la reforma educativa de la Segunda República, sistemáticamente presentados en la segunda parte de este trabajo. Al final situamos la problemática educativa tratada en la novela en el contexto de la realidad extraliteraria y destacamos la dimensión didáctica de la obra.This work is focused on the analysis of the novel Historia de una maestra, written by Josefina Aldecoa. The main objective of the thesis is to analize how the author represents the educational mission which was carried out during the Second Spanish Republic. The theories dedicated to topics such as memory, experience and history, presented in the first chapter, help us to figure out how is the collective memory of the teachers reflected in the novel. Moreover, the analysis is based on the historical studies about the topic of education in the Second Spanish Republic, described in the second chapter. In the end, we interconnect the educational aspects of the plot with the the reality of the author.
