Druhá část eye-tracking experimentu zjišťuje kromě orientace v mapě i správnost odpovědí a preference uživatelů jednotlivého barevného provedení. Day and night monitor mode is a widely used functionality when working with any digital devices, including a map in digital form. A lot of users don't use a switch between day and night mode, and it is set automatically. However, it is not proofed if this functionality really helps to improve the transfer of information between the map and the user when changing the lighting conditions. The bachelor thesis aims to evaluate the influence of day and night monitor mode on the map users' perception. The sub-goals of the thesis includes a detailed search of the literature. From gained knowledge, a comprehensive view of the issue was created and the differences between day and night monitor modes were described. The following sub-goal was the creation of an online questionnaire to identify user preferences. User testing, implemented via an eye-tracking experiment, have been realised by 43 respondents. Respondents were categorised by the average number of hours spent per week per wheel and the use of navigation. The first part of the eye-tracking experiment focuses the orientation of the participants in the day and night mode of map views when changing the lighting conditions. The second part of the eye-tracking test identifies the correctness of the answers and preferences of users of the individual colour scheme in addition to the orientation in the map. The result of the thesis is the evaluation of the user testing and the interpretation of the research results.
