Myanmar je státem nacházejícím se v regionu jihovýchodní Asie. Její obyvatelstvo tvoří většinoví buddhisté a dále křesťanské a muslimské menšiny. Právě muslimské etnikum Rohingyů, žijící v severozápadní oblasti Myanmaru, je potlačováno jak ze strany buddhistické většiny, tak i státním aparátem. Myanmarská vláda dlouhodobě odmítá přiznat této menšině státní občanství a dochází ke střetům s buddhisty. Rohingyové jsou proto ve velkém vysídlováni ze svých domovů, nuceni opustit zemi a žít především na území sousedního Bangladéše. Cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat historické příčiny tohoto konfliktu, zhodnotit současnou situaci a zjistit, jak se mezinárodní společenství snaží o jeho řešení.The state of Myanmar is situated in the region of South-East Asia. Its population mostly consists of Buddhists and Christian and Muslim minorities. It is the Muslim ethnicity of Rohingya, living in north-west Myanmar that is suppressed by both Buddhist majority and state apparatus. The Myanmarese government is refusing to grant full state citizenship for the minority group and that results in conflicts with the Buddhists. That´s why are the Rohingya people being evicted from their homes forced to leave the country and forced to live primarily on the territory of neighboring Bangladesh. The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to analyze historical causes of this conflict, to evaluate the current situation and to find out the way international community tries to find out the solution to the problem.
