Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá participáciou žien v protestoch v prípade Arabskej Jari, konkrétne v Egypte a Tunisku. Cieľom práce je zistiť, či sa dá ženská participácia v protestoch vysvetliť na základe teórií bodu zvratu, načasovania a rámovania alebo či sa ženy v Egypte a Tunisku dostali do bodu zlomu a či boli schopné predniesť aj ich vlastné požiadavky, nie len požiadavky, ktoré boli prezentované počas protestov a obdobia prechodu v demokracii celou spoločnosťou. Ženy zohrali dôležitú úlohu ako protestujúce, zákulisné organizátorky, či mobilizátorky alebo medzinárodne symboly boja za rodovú rovnosť a tvorby lepšieho, kvalitnejšieho života v post-povstaleckom regióne Blízkeho Východu a Severnej Afriky.Bachelor´s Thesis is focusing on the participation of women in protests in the case of Arab Spring, especially in the cases of Egypt and Tunisia. The aim is to find out whether women´s participation in protests could be explained in the terms of tipping, timing and framing theories of protests. Whether women in Tunisia and Egypt got to the tipping point in protesting in the Arab Uprisings and whether if women were able to bring up their own demands, not simply the demands that were represented by whole society throughout the protests or during the transition period. Women played significant roles as protestors, background organizers and mobilizers or international symbols of the fight of gender equality and creation of a better, quality life in the post-uprising region of Middle East and North Africa.
