Bakalářská práce se zabývá teoretickým vymezením Alzheimerovy choroby, průběhem nemoci, jejími příčinami a možnou prevencí. V teoretické rovině popisuje vybrané možnosti edukace lidí onemocněných touto progresivní demencí, zaměřuje se na procvičování kognitivních funkcí v rámci psychické i fyzické aktivizace. Pojednává o bariérách, se kterými se můžeme při aktivizaci lidí postižených tímto ireverzibilním onemocněním setkat. V empirické rovině pak na základě výzkumného šetření zjišťuje, jaké možnosti a pomůcky jsou využívány při aktivizaci postižených Alzheimerem v dotazovaných zařízeních. Na základě výzkumného šetření zaznamenává pozitiva a negativa celkové aktivizace lidí onemocněných Alzheimerovou chorobou a vliv aktivizace na průběh nemoci. Klade důraz na důležitost informovanosti pečujících o Alzheimerově nemoci a na propojení teoretických znalostí s jejich praktickým využitím v aktivizaci o lidi postižené nevyléčitelnou nemocí. Zjišťuje, jaké další vzdělávání v dotazovaných zařízeních postrádají aktivizační pracovníci v péči o lidi s Alzheimerovou chorobou.The bachelor paper deals with a theoretical definition of Alzheimer´s disease and its progress. It also mentions some possible causes and prevention of the illness. At the theoretical level the bachelor thesis focuses on the possibilities and barriers of educating and training people suffering from Alzheimer's disease in the context of psychological and physical activation. At the empirical level the thesis further investigates what facilities and educational aids for people with Alzheimer's disease are used in the respondents' organizations. It also provides information about the positive and negative sides of the activation and its overall impact on the patients' disease progress. The bachelor paper emphasizes the importance of both theoretical and practical knowledge of patient's activation and the ability to apply it in caregiving. The thesis further informs about the insufficient education and training in the area of activation of the workers in various centres and organisations.
