Tato bakalářská práce se orientuje na motiv krásky a zvířete, a to především v prvních francouzských literárních dílech s touto tematikou z poloviny osmnáctého století. Po teoretickém úvodu, pojednávajícím o daném motivu na obecné rovině, se zaměřujeme na dílo Kráska a zvíře od Madame de Villeneuve a jeho adaptaci v podobě stejnojmenné pohádky, jejíž autorkou je Madame de Beaumont. Hlavní část studie spočívá v literární analýze obou verzí a následné komparaci těchto dvou děl. Tato práce si klade za cíl zachytit jejich významné rozdílnosti a objasnit, ve kterých aspektech spočívá přepracování příběhu o krásce a zvířeti ze svého původního provedení do podoby pohádky.The focus of this bachelor thesis is the beauty and the beast motif, primarily in two of the first French literary works on this topic from the middle of 18th century. After the theoretical introduction which treats the motif in general terms, the thesis turns the attention to Beauty and the Beast by Madame de Villeneuve and its later adaptation in the form of a fairy tale of the same name produced by Madame de Beaumont. The main part of the study consists in a literary analysis of both versions followed by a comparison of the two writings. The aim of the thesis is to capture their significant differences and to elucidate the main aspects of transformation of the story from its original version to the form of a fairy tale.
