Práce se snaží kompletně postihnout osobnost Jaroslava Čičatky a jeho hudebně publikační činnost. Postupně je pojednáno o všech institucích spojených s jeho hudebně kulturním působením. Stěžejním bodem Čičatkovy celoživotní práce bylo olomoucké české divadlo, o jehož fungování a činnosti psal do denního tisku a mimo to zpracoval nikdy nevydaný podrobný strojopis uložený v archivu Moravského divadla Olomouc. Dále je pojednáno také o hudebně-kulturních materiálech uložených ve Vlastivědném muzeu v Olomouci, kde se nachází jeho osobní fond. Mimo jiné jsou rozebrány i praktické příručky hry na klavír housle, harmoniku a kytaru uložené ve Vědecké knihovně v Olomouci. Vzhledem k jeho pedagogickému působení je v práci rovněž zahrnuta kapitola týkající se jeho hudebně pedagogické činnosti na Slovanském gymnáziu v Olomouci. V neposlední řadě pak práce obsahuje životopisnou kapitolu, shrnutí formy publikační činnosti a stručné zmapování situace olomouckého hudebního dění v jeho době.This thesis is describing the personality of Jaroslav Čičatka and his musical publishing activity. All of the institutions which are connected to his musical and cultural agency are mentioned and discussed in this thesis. The turning point of Čičatka's lifetime work was his functioning in czech theatre in Olomouc. He was reporting about the theatre's activites to the newspaper and he also wrote detailed typewritten papers, which have never been published and are still saved in archives of Moravian theatre in Olomouc. This thesis is also dealing with his musical-cultural materials archived in Homeland museum in Olomouc, where his personal fund is saved as well. Besides that, practical handbooks of piano, violin, guitar and accordion playing, which are also archived in Homeland museum in Olomouc, are analyzed in this thesis. There is also written chapter about Čičatka's pedagogical work in music field, which he took in Slavic grammar school in Olomouc. Last but not least subjects of this thesis are his biography, summary of his publishing activities and brief analysis of musical situation in Olomouc, by the time of his work.
