Esta tese ocupa-se da análise profunda do livro O Homem Duplicado (2002) de escritor portugues e possuidor do prémio Nobel de Literatura José Saramago. E compara esta obra com a adaptaçao cinematográfica de diretor canadense Denis Villeneuve, Enemy de 2014. O trabalho está dividido em quatro partes. A primeira parte resume a existencia do duplo na literatura mundial através de séculos. A segunda parte orienta-se na vida e obra dos autores. Terceira parte é dedicada a análise do livro e a última parte descreve a adaptaçao cinematográfica.This thesis deals with the analysis of the book The Double (2002) of Portuguese writer and the laureate of the Nobel Prize in Literature José Saramago. And it compares the book with the cinematographic adaptation of Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, the 2014 film Enemy. The work is divided into four parts. The first part summarizes the existence of the double in world literature through centuries. The second part is oriented towards the life and work of the two authors. Third part is devoted to the analysis of the book and the last part describes the film adaptation.
