Předložená práce se zabývá studiem skupiny faunistických horizontů Barbory v české části hornoslezské pánve, která se dlouhodobě používá jako horizont oddělující jaklovecké a porubské vrstvy. V rešeršní části je popsána geologie české části hornoslezské pánve, vymezení a geologická stavba jakloveckých a porubských vrstev a hlavně charakteristika skupiny faunistických horizontů Barbory. Ke zpracování metodické části jsem používala vrtné profily, které zastihovaly skupinu faunistických horizontů Barbory a informace zjištěné z vrtné databáze, která je dostupná v archivu České geologické služby v Praze a na Vysoké školy báňské - Technické univezitě v Ostravě. Vypracovala jsem přehlednou mapu výskytu faunistických horizontů Barbory v české části hornoslezské pánve, model mocnosti sedimentů, v nichž se faunistické horizonty vyskytují, model písčitosti a model počtu poloh jednotlivých horizontů. V práci jsou rovněž přehledné mapy, které poukazují na výskyt mořské, sladkovodní a brakické fauny. Práce obsahuje dva korelační řezy napříč českou hornoslezskou pánví, které ukazují vývoj ukládání sedimentů ve faunistických horizontech Barbory. Skupina faunistických horizontů Barbory je rozšířena po celé české části hornoslezské pánve. Je to stálý horizont, v němž převažují prachovce, jílovce a pískovce. Maximální mocnost sledovaného intervalu je 82,18 m v Dětmarovicích v karvinské části, naopak minimální mocnost, 0,10 m, byla zjištěná v části frenštátské v Kozlovicích. Nejmenší mocnosti jsou na jihu pánve, směrem k severu se mocnost zvyšuje. Nejvyšší písčitost byla zjištěná ve frenštátské části (až 54 %) a nejnižší v karvinské části (2 %). Nejvyšší i nejnižší počet poloh je ve frenštátské části.My Master´s thesis deals with the study of a group of faunistic horizons Barbora in the Czech part of the Upper Silesian Basin which has long been used as a horizon separating the Jaklovec and Poruba Member. The research part describes the geology of the Czech part of the Upper Silesian Basin, demarcation and geological structure of the Jaklovec and Poruba Member and mainly the characterization of the faunistic horizons Barbora. For the elaboration of the methodological part I used the drilling profiles which reached the Barbora faunistic horizons and information found in the drilling database, which is available in the archives of the Czech Geological Survey in Prague and at the Mining University - Technical University in Ostrava. I worked out a clear map of the occurrence of the Barbora faunistic horizons in the Czech part of the Upper Silesian Basin, a model of the sediment thickness in which the faunistic horizons occur, the sand content and the number of positions of the individual horizons. There are also clear maps showing the occurrence of marine, freshwater and brackish fauna. The thesis contains two correlation profiles across the Czech Upper Silesian Basin, which show the development of deposition of sediments in the faunistic of Barbora. The group of faunistic horizons Barbora is extended throughout the Czech part of the Upper Silesian Basin. It is a steady horizon in which dust, claystone and sandstone prevail. The maximum thickness of the observed interval is 82.18 m in Dětmarovice in the Karviná part, on the other hand the minimum thickness, 0.10 m, was found in the part of Frensštát in Kozlovice. The smallest thicknesses are in the south of the basin, and the thickness is increasing toward the north. The highest sand content was found in the Frenštát part (up to 54%) and the lowest in the Karviná part (2%). The highest and the lowest number of positions are in the Frenštát part.
