Bakalářská práce se zabývá románem Velký Gatsby. V první kapitole se věnujeme historickému kontextu s přihlédnutím k životnímu stylu a literární tvorbě F.S. Fitzgeralda. Ve druhé kapitole analyzujeme rozmanité reálie a pseudo reálie nacházející se v románu a také se zaměřujeme na kompoziční výstavbu díla. Ve třetí kapitole podrobíme vlastní analýze filmové adaptace z roku 1974 a 2013 s následnou komparací vybraného obrazu z románu. V závěru vyvozujeme patřičné závěry.The Bachelor's thesis deals with the novel The Great Gatsby. In the first chapter, we deal with the historical context regarded to the lifestyle and literary creation of F.S. Fitzgerald. In the second chapter, we analyse the various realities and pseudo-realities found in the novel and focus on the compositional construction of the work too. In the third chapter, we undertake our own analysis of the film adaptations from 1974 and 2013, followed by comparison of the selected image from the novel. In the end, we draw the appropriate conclusions.
